Vikings Head Coach Dennis Gates and his staff is looking forward to hosting the 1st annual Dennis Gates individual camp this summer! The 2020 Dennis Gates Individual Camp is designed to teach and develop a series of beneficial drills and games to help your son or daughter learn the fundamentals of basketball with a twist of excitement. The Cleveland State Men's Basketball players will instruct your child throughout this two-day session, ensuring a fun filled camp.
The goal of our camp is to help players individually as well as grow into team players while all at the same time having FUN!
AGES: Boys and Girls:
K-2nd Grade 9am-12pm
3rd-10th Grade 9am-3pm
CHECK-IN: Monday (the first day of camp) from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM at the Wolstein Center on the CSU campus at 2000 Prospect Ave E Cleveland, OH 44115
ALL CAMPERS should be dressed for camp and ready for group organization on Monday at 9:00 am in the Wolstein Center. If you are arriving to the Wolstein behind schedule, please call (216) 906-9788. We have a system in place to allow for this situation where your camper will not miss any camp.
DAY CAMPER MORNING DROP-OFF: All campers should be dropped off Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am – 9:00am at the Wolstein Center.
CHECK-OUT is the last day of camp (Tuesday). All campers must be picked up by 3:30pm at the Wolstein Center.
PARKING: There will be a carpool system available for drop off and pick up on Wolstein Drive in front of the Wolstein Center. Parking lots and garages are available along Prospect Ave and 21st St for extended parking.
CAMPERS will receive lunch everyday.
CAMP BANK: The camp provides a camp bank to deposit campers’ money for miscellaneous purchases during camp. The camp is not responsible for lost or stolen money unless it is in the camp bank.
CAMP COACHES/COUNSELORS: Cleveland State Men's Basketball players will serve as camp counselors.
CAMP OFFICE: is located on the 1st floor of the Wolstein Center @ 2000 Prospect Ave E
HEALTH CARE: All medical expenses incurred are the responsibility of the camper’s parent/guardian. The camp is in no way obligated to pay for medical emergencies. Athletic trainers will be on site at the gym during each session. All medical emergencies will be referred to Cleveland Clinic.
