Cost:   $260 per camper, per session

 

Refund Policy:  Please ensure you can attend camp before registering. If you are unable to attend camp, a refund can be provided less a $75 cancellation fee.  Cancellation requests must be emailed before the end of the week that you are requesting the refund for. Full refunds will be given only in unforeseen circumstances or other unique situations.  Send refund request to L.MACIAS@MIAMI.EDU.  Refund check will be mailed after camp ends.

 

Discount:  Full-time University of Miami employees, police, fire fighter and military receive $20 off of the registration cost. When registering, apply promo code EMPDISC.   A  copy of your work ID must be emailed to L.MACIAS@MIAMI.EDU upon completion of your online registration.

 

If more than one family member attends the same camp, the 1st child pays full price; all additional siblings receive $20 off per week.  Apply promo code SIBDISC.

After entering the participant name The promo code must be entered on the 2nd page of the registration form. Once this information is properly entered, the total cost of camp will be discounted $20 at checkout. There is an online registration fee of $15.60 per child, added at checkout.

 

Insurance: Every camper is required to have medical insurance while attending camp. Online registration requires that you include the child's insurance company name and the policy number.  If the child is not covered by a medical policy, we offer coverage for $25 a week while attending camp that can be paid in cash at check-in on Monday.

 

Waiver Information:  All parents/guardians will need to agree to the terms and conditions of liability waiver during the online registration process or print, sign and date the release located below and email to L.MACIAS@MIAMI.EDU

 

In addition, the state of Florida has instituted a Minor Child Waiver and Release Form that must be signed by the parent/guardian of every minor attending a camp or clinic.

 

Both waivers can be found at the bottom of this page.  Parents, please email both forms to L.MACIAS@MIAMI.EDU upon completion of the online registration.

 

Check-In:  Check-in at the stadium will-call window starts at 8:15am every Monday at 6299 San Amaro Drive, Coral Gables 33146

 

Times:  Tues-Fri, the earliest you can drop off your child is 8:30am.  If you are dropping off your child at camp, a coach will be on hand to meet your child in front of the stadium. Camp starts at 9:00 a.m. and pick up is between 3:50pm and 4:00pm.  If you are running late at pick up time, please call the office at 305-284-4171 and let us know.

 

Parking:  The University of Miami Coral Gables Campus has introduced an updated parking policy. Enforcement is now extended to seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay-By-Phone and additional pay stations are available on campus parking lots and garages to facilitate visitor parking.  If you choose to park in a metered space along the street, you will have to pay for parking at the meter located on the sidewalk. We are not responsible for parking citations and do not hold the authority to have parking tickets dropped.

 

Lunch:  Lunch is scheduled between 11:30 a.m. and 11:45 p.m.  Please make sure your child eats breakfast. They need to keep up their energy throughout the morning.

 

You may bring your own lunch or purchase lunch at the concession stand.  Allow $7-$10 per day if you chose to buy at the concession stand.  If your child brings lunch money, put it in a Ziploc with their first and last name written on it and place it in their bookbag.

 

Sunblock:  Apply sunblock on your child before camp.  Our trainer has sunblock available if your child needs an additional application throughout the day. Please instruct your child on how to apply the sunblock on him or herself.

 

Schedules:  The Gino DiMare Baseball Camp focuses on fundamentals in a fun and energetic atmosphere. The camp day is divided into 1/2 day indoor/outdoor instruction and 1/2 day games.  Schedules for the week will be handed out at check-in. Ask your child what his/her team number is, in case you can come and watch their game.

 

Parents Visitation:  Parents may stay and watch during camp hours.  We ask you please, for your safety and that of our campers, not to walk out on the field during camp.

 

What to Bring:  We are not liable for the loss of camper’s personal property so please label all gear.

 

All campers will be given a T-shirt to wear during camp or they may wear a light colored t-shirt. 

 

Wear comfortable clothing. Most kids like to wear their baseball pants or shorts.  Only sneakers or rubber cleats. No metal cleats please.

 

Bring your glove and wear a baseball cap.  We have plenty of bats for use at camp, so there's no need to bring one. 

 

We suggest that campers not bring cell phones to camp.  If any camper needs to get in touch with their parents, they can always use a coach’s phone.

 

Campers will be given frequent breaks during the day where they will be taken inside the air-conditioned locker room to watch instructional baseball videos. They can bring a snack to have at this time.

 

Unlimited, free water and Gatorade is always available in the dugouts.

 

Goal:  The goal of the Gino DiMare Summer Camp for the younger players (ages 6-13) is to teach baseball fundamentals in a fun and energetic atmosphere. All players play an active role in camp and are continually involved in drills of all aspects. Emphasis will be on individual position play, hitting fundamentals and game play experience. Participants will generally play in their own age group or grade level. However, we may move a camper up in age groups, depending on his ability and skill.  

 

Camper Code of Conduct:  We strive to maintain a fun and safe environment for all participants however, certain rules are necessary to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Campers are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. Campers shall: 

 

•                Listen and follow instructions. 

•                Remain with the group at all times. 

•                Show respect to all campers, coaches, staff, equipment, and facilities. 

•                Refrain from using foul language. 

•                Refrain from fighting, pushing or shoving. Refrain from causing harm to him/her self or others. 

 

 

Picture day:  Wedneday's at 8:40 AM.  If you are having your picture taken please have exact change for the package you’ve chosen. If you’re paying by check, please make it out to TSS Photography.  TSS also accepts credit cards. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
