Josh Schertz Basketball Camps

Welcome to the Josh Schertz Basketball Camp website for Summer 2023! 

We are excited to have you join us this summer.  We will be offering two sessions: June 12-15 and June 19-22.

Both sessions are open to boys and girls from 8-18 years of age (Elementary – through summer before senior year in high school).   Individual camp begins at 9am (ET) each day and will conclude at 4 pm. On the first day of both sessions, check in will begin at 8:15 am. 

Each individual camp features daily work on fundamentals, decision making, as well as competitive team play and contests. Every camper receives an official camp t-shirt as well as demonstrations and instruction from Sycamore staff and coaches. Campers should bring basketball shoes, t-shirt, shorts and socks as well as an optional sweatshirt or light jacket.

2023 JOSH SCHERTZ BASKETBALL CAMP

Session 1: June 12-15, 2023

Session 2: June 19-22, 2023

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: $200

-Anyone who registers by May 28th will receive a $50 discount

NOT TO LATE DISCOUNT: $225 

-Anyone who registers between May 29 - June 11 will receive a $25 discount

BOTH CAMPS: $400

-Sign your child up for both camps and receive a $100 discount!

ISU STAFF DISCOUNT: $180

-Any ISU Faculty or Staff who signs their child up for camp will receive a $70 discount! If they sign up for both camps it will be $360 total.

STANDARD PRICING: $250

-Walk-ups are welcome!

FACILITIES: North Gym on Indiana State Campus. Closest address on “google maps” is: ISU Arena, 401 N. 4th St, Terre Haute, IN 47809.  There will be signs directing where to go.

COMPETITION AND PRIZES - All awards distributed at Closing Ceremonies on Thursday afternoon. All activities in camp are separated by age and skill level. Competitions include 5 on 5, 3 on 3, Free Throws, Knockout, Hot Shot and many more! 

INDIVIDUAL CAMP INFORMATION: 

AGES: Boys and Girls from 8 – 18 years of age (Elementary – through summer before senior year in high school)

REGISTRATION: Online at: camps.jumpforward.com/joshschertzbasketballcamps

CHECK-IN:  Will begin at 8am on Monday morning.

CAMPER MORNING DROP-OFF & PICK UP: Campers should be dropped off Monday –Thursday from 8:30 am – 9:00 am at North Gym. Campers should be picked up at 4pm each day. 

ACCEPTANCE: You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your online registration. Once your registration has been processed, an acceptance letter will be emailed. A camp medical form is required for camper’s participation in the camp.

CAMP BANK: The camp bank is like a debit account. At the beginning of camp, you can deposit any amount of money into your child’s account. Your child can use the account throughout the week to purchase snacks and drinks from the camp store. When your child makes a purchase, the amount will be deducted from the total available. • The camp is not responsible for lost or stolen money unless it is in the camp bank. • The average camp bank deposit if $25. • If your child does not use all of his camp bank money, the remainder will be refunded at the close of camp. If the child spends all of his money, he will not be allowed to purchase more snacks and drinks unless more money is deposited into the camp bank.

LUNCH: Lunch will be provided each day of camp. Lunch will rotate daily. Will include: Pizza Hut, Chick Fila, Jimmy Johns, Culvers. 

CAMP COACHES/COUNSELORS: Current and former ISU staff and coaches serve as camp counselors.

HEALTH CARE: All medical expenses incurred are the responsibility of the camper’s parent/guardian. The camp is in no way obligated to pay for medical emergencies. Athletic trainers will be on site at the gyms during each session and available 24 hours a day. *We encourage campers to leave all electronics, jewelry and other valuables at home. The camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
