NIU Football camps are an exciting & affordable opportunity to be coached by one of the finest coaching staffs in the country. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS IS INTENDED FOR SKILL & COMBO POSITIONS (Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers, Tight Ends, Cornerbacks, Safeties, Linebackers, Kickers, Punters, & Returners)


BIG DOGS IS INTENDED FOR LINEMAN (Offensive Lineman, Defensive Lineman, Outside Rushing Linebackers or Blocking Tight Ends )


Registration & Refund Policy:

Registration can be completed below by clicking on the date you would like to attend.


Cost for Friday Night Lights & Big Dogs Camps are $52 plus a $3 online service fee.


Due to COVID restrictions we will only allow 200 participants per day of camp (100 per field), if registration is filled online, walk-up campers will be permitted only on a first come first serve basis to fill the spots if anyone registered is unable to attend. If you do not make an online payment or do not register before, CASH ONLY payments will be accepted onsite and the cost will be $55.


Transfer of paid registration fees to a non-registered camper is prohibited. Paid campers may transfer between 2021 summer dates, however no refunds will be issued and increased fees must be paid if applicable. Transfer of paid registration fees to a 2022 NIU football camp is prohibited.


If a parent or guardian are NIU Athletic Department employees the camp registration fee will be waived.


Check-in & Orientation:

Check-in will start one hour before the start of camp in the Chessick Indoor Facility on the north side of Huskie Stadium.

Orientation will begin at the camp start time.


What to Bring:

Campers should bring their own helmet, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, tennis shoes, football cleats, & appropriate practice attire.


Jerseys will be distributed at check-in and must be returned at the end of camp. Camp t-shirts will also be handed out at check-in. State restrictions regarding helmets & shoulder pads will be enforced.


Who is Eligible:

Current high school & junior college students are eligible. High School graduating classes of 2021, 22, 23, 24, 25 & any current Junior College students.

Our camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender).


First Aid & Consent Form:

First aid staff will be on call during camp sessions. The parental authorization/release of information form must be signed & returned with the registration form or camper will not be allowed to participate.The parental authorization/release of information form can be found at and will also be emailed at a later date. Any medical expenses incurred are the responsibility of the camper.


I/we acknowledge and agree that Northern Illinois University, including its camp participants, must comply with national, state, and local health guidelines and requirements, and the safety rules and precautions of Northern Illinois University, in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, which rules and precautions may be updated at any time.  While acknowledging that these rules and precautions may or may not be effective in mitigating the spread of COVID-19, camp participants are required to comply with such rules and precautions which may include, but are not limited to, education and screening, testing recommendations, sanitization, and personal hygiene.  I/we further acknowledge and agree that at any time the operations of the University may be affected and/or your camp may be impacted by the pandemic and its effects.
