Things to Know:

 

1. Participants will meet in the DSC Aquatic Center and enter though the side door closest to the street.
2. Groups will be supervised by coaching staff and lifeguards will be on duty.
3. Groups will be determined by swimming ability and age, and may change during session. No more than 4 participants per group. 
4. Every participant will be encouraged to try something new and develop their skills in each lesson.
5. We DO NOT provide any swim gear. Please bring your own bathing suit, cap, goggles, and towel. *Goggles are strongly encouraged.
6. Participants are NOT ALLOWED to get in the water BEFORE and AFTER their scheduled lesson. Pool access is limited to UA Little Rock Donaghey Fitness Center members only.

This University of Arkansas at Little Rock camp/clinic is open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

 

 

Trojan Swim Academy - Summer 2021  

COVID Protocols  

As we enter the summer swim lesson season we are excited to welcome participants back to the water. With the ongoing pandemic the below protocols will be implemented to continue our commitment to create a safe learning environment. 

• Anyone experiencing any symptoms of a fever (100.4°F or higher), cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell, or has had any exposure to someone who has any symptoms, (which includes family and friends) should remain at home and seek medical treatment. 
• We ask that you self monitor before travelling to campus and let our staff know if symptoms occur and you are unable to attend 
• Masks must be worn upon entering any indoor facility on the UA Little Rock campus, this includes the aquatic facility. 
• Masks will not be worn during lesson activities in the water 
• All participants and guardians will enter through a designated side door and check in. 
• Only one parent or guardian is allowed to enter the facility with the lesson participant 
• Social distancing measures will be taken when possible: 
  • Specific arrival & departure times, 10 minute gap between groups
  • Spectators must sit and remain in the bleachers during assigned lesson time, and will not be allowed to gather on the pool deck
  • Instructors will keep groups and participants separated while teaching 
• Instructors will be wearing face shields while in and out of the water.
• Limit need to use the locker rooms: 
  • Arrive in swimming attire
  • Use the restroom before departure
  • Bring extra towels to depart facility in wet swimsuit
