7on7 Tournament (Open to Any And All Entering Grades 9 - 12)*
The 7on7 Tournament provides instruction for teams to develop skills and strategy relative to the passing game from both an offensive and defensive perspective. All campers will be put through individual drills and instruction with their position group led by USC staff members. A portion of the camp is highlighted by a competitive 7on7 team tournament showcasing techniques learned during the camp. A maximum of 25 participants per team will be permitted.
TO REGISTER A TEAM PLEASE CALL THE FOOTBALL OFFICE DIRECTLY AT (213) 740 – 4204. Camp registration will begin at 8:00am on June 9th in front of Heritage Hall on the USC campus. A mandatory coaches meeting will begin at 8:30am in the John McKay Center. Teams need to provide their own uniforms and meals for the tournament.
WHAT TO BRING
It is recommended that you leave electronics (ipods, ipads, laptops) and jewelry at home. Southern California Camp and Clinics, LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Southern California Camp and Clinics, LLC is not responsible for parking citations.
LOCATION, FACILITIES & SUPERVISION
All Trojan Football Camps will be held on the USC University Park Campus, conveniently located on the outskirts of Downtown Los Angeles. Practice sessions will take place on Howard Jones / Brian Kennedy Practice Fields and Loker Track & Field Stadium. Campers will also receive instruction in the weight room of our new state of the art facility, the John McKay Center. Registration will take place at the renovated Heritage Hall, which celebrates the proud history of Trojan athletics and houses 6 Heisman Trophies. Campers will dine in the Galen Athletic Cafeteria. Camp instruction and supervision is provided by the USC coaching staff, USC Football support staff, current USC players, USC Athletics Director of Security and selected guest coaches from other top college programs. All camp staff members are required to complete a background check prior to employment. The physical address of Heritage Hall, which will serve as camp headquarters is 3501 Watt Way, Los Angeles, CA, 90089. HEALTH, SAFETY & INSURANCE COVERAGE
All participants must be covered by personal medical insurance. In addition to a parent/guardian waiver, we encourage that each camper submit a copy of their Fall 2018 Sports or School Physical. Due to the heat and fast-paced tempo of our practices, each camper is encouraged to come to camp in good physical condition. Every effort is made to protect the health and safety of each camper through our certified athletic training staff, supervised warm-up periods, constant inspection of equipment and responsible instruction. It is the responsibility of each camper to stay hydrated. Water and Powerade® will be available at all times. Campers without the proper parent/guardian signatures on their registration form will not be allowed to participate!
TRANSPORTATION & LODGING
For those traveling from out of the area or out of state to attend our camps we recommend lodging at the Radisson hotel. Rooms are available for direct booking by calling (213) 748 – 4141. Rooms may be booked online at www.radisson.com The hotel is located at 3540 South Figueroa Street Los Angeles, California, 90007, a 5 minute walk through campus to our camp headquarters at Heritage Hall.
ADMISSION OF CAMP SPECTATORS
The camp is open to spectators from the general public in areas designated by USC staff.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
If you wish to change a session or cancel one altogether, we must receive your request in writing with a valid reason. For all camps, cancellations received:
* Camp is open to any and all teams with positions and participants entering grades 9-12 and graduate transfers from 4-year institutions provided USC has permission to contact on file from that institution. Grad transfers who have not received prior PTC-approval will not be permitted to walk up.
- Walk-ups of all positions entering grades 9-12 as of Fall 2018 will be permitted to pay $25 and participate in the individual instructional portion of the camp itinerary.
